Product Description
Control Up To 32 BACnet MS/TP Slave Devices from a Serial PLC5, SLC or MicroLogix PLC
You can now control a network of 32 BACnet MS/TP Slaves from a legacy Allen-Bradley serial PLC. It’s the perfect tool to save legacy PLCs from the scrap pile and control BACnet MS/TP devices directly from the serial port of PLC5s, SLCs and MicroLogix PLCs.
How Do I Use the 460BMDFM in My Application?
For most applications the mapping is very straight forward. PLC data table values (File like N7:200 and F9:1) are mapped directly into the Input and Output assemblies of the cyclic data transfer. Input files from your legacy PLC are passed to the BACnet MS/TP Slave as part of the cyclic Input message. Output data received from a BACnet MS/TP Slave is written to your legacy PLC data table. You can map up to 100 integers, 50 floating point values and 100 binary values in your PLC directly to the Input and Output assemblies.
No message instructions and no ladder. It really is that simple.
Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460BMDFM provides an option to connect BACnet MS/TP Slaves to serial Allen-Bradley controllers. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.
