Map Your ASCII Devices to a TCP/IP Socket
The 460TCPA moves data between ASCII RS232, RS422, or RS485 devices over to Ethernet TCP/IP connections. With the 460TCPA, you now have a solution to get ASCII barcode readers, ASCII weigh Scales, ASCII printers, and other ASCII devices connected to your TCP/IP Devices.
How Do I Use the 460TCPA-N34 in My Application?
Incoming and outgoing ASCII data in TCP/IP packets is parsed into data segments and given a data type. Those values are then mapped to a TCP/IP device. If your device uses delimiters, the 460TCPA can be configured to automatically remove the delimiters on incoming messages and add delimiters back in on outgoing messages.
