Product Description
Easily Access Registers and Coils in Modbus
There are millions of Modbus measuring, metering and analyzing devices in industrial and building automation applications. Now, with the 460MCWI, you have an easy way to exchange Modbus TCP Server register and coil data with your web applications. Use that data to easily build an Excel log, a dashboard, archive data or create a sophisticated alarm system. The 460MCWI gets you the data – you just have to make use of it.
How Do I get Modbus Server Data?
First, you configure the 460MCWI using the easy to use, browser-based configuration pages. You’ll identify the address of the Modbus Servers to access and the registers and coils from each you want to read/write. Once that’s complete, you’ll map, name and group the data to be presented as XML or JSON files. Your application can than issue standard HTTP GET or POST instructions to move data into your application. It’s that easy.
How Is the Data Represented?
In your GET you can request either a JSON or XML data. In XML, you’ll get something like <Speed105>523<Speed105>. In JSON, you’ll get “Speed105:523” for the same register. Individual devices and groups can be identified to further organize your data.
What Web Client Applications Can I Use?
You can access the JSON or XML tags from any web application tool including Python, PSP and other similar tools.
Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
